Located 4 miles from central London, Islington is located in the North London borough of the same name and stretches from the bustling Islington High Street and Upper Road to nearby Highbury Fields to the north, Southgate Road and Essex Road to the east and Barnsbury Road in the west. Despite heavy bombing during World War 2, Islington has become an upmarket residential area with a buzzing cultural scene of impressive eateries, more independent retailers than you could shake a stick at plus cosy pubs, lively bars and a penchant for fringe theatre.

The Brick Lane apartment is located right in the heart of Islington. Upper Street is just a short walk away and has an eclectic array of pubs, restaurants, cinemas and shops. Close, too, is Islington canal—the perfect place for a picturesque walk or a bike ride, leading to Victoria Park in East London. Caledonia’s central location allows for easy access to Farringdon and Clerkenwell. You can also walk to Primrose Hill which has the best view in all of London. During the winter months, it's worth visiting the British Library. Shoreditch is close too for nightlife and even more exciting places to eat.
