Berlin has extensive, reliable, and efficient public transport system that includes buses, trams, the U-Bahn (subway), and the S-Bahn (suburban trains) that is still quite affordable compared to other cities. A range of ticket options are available, including single tickets, daily passes, and monthly subscriptions.

When you move to Berlin, you are required to register your address within 14 days at a local Bürgeramt (citizen's office). This is known as "Anmeldung." To register, you’ll need to book an appointment at a Bürgeramt and bring the necessary documents, which typically include your passport or ID card, a completed registration form (Anmeldeformular), and a confirmation of residence from your landlord (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). We want to make your housing costs as easy and transparent as possible. This is why we offer an all-inclusive price, which means that the rent, utilities, internet, media taxes and maintenance service costs are already included.

In terms of cleaning services, we offer different service packages (Regular, Service Plus, and No Cleaning), which vary per home. You can see on our availabilities page which service level the home of your choice has and what services are included.

We charge a one-time membership fee (€150 for singles / €225 for couples), plus a deposit and prepayment of your last month’s rent.

The deposit is 1000 EUR and will be fully refunded within 60 business days after contract end date if the unit is in the same state as when you moved in. For more information please refer to our article: https://help.joinlifex.com/en/articles/5592379-deposit-return

The minimum duration is 6 months with fixed term contract. You can see more details on each apartment on our availability page.

Our contracts are time-limited, so the end date is agreed from the start. But you have a possibility to renew your contract, too!

You can move in at any weekdays or Saturdays. We use a key sharing service, so you can arrive when it suits you best.

We want your move into a new home to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. To keep things simple and make sure everyone has the best experience, we just need three documents: your ID, proof of occupation (like a work contract or enrollment letter), and proof of funds.

Unfortunately not. We would love to show you our homes, but we also want to provide privacy to our current members. That's why don't offer viewings and instead, we provide detailed pictures as well as 3D floorplans on our website. This way, you can get a good idea of what the home is like.

We can guarantee a high-quality standard across all our homes. We select our homes carefully and all are furnished with high-quality design furniture in the same beautiful Nordic style.
